I really don’t remember how I found the word lamprophonic or why I chose it, but somehow I did. So, lamprophonic means loud and clear. I think that I combined lamprophonic with thoughts to represent loud and clear thoughts. Although, now that I look at it, it doesn’t really make that much sense. The purpose of this blog is for me to be able to express my creative thoughts. It is also where I can share my writings and artwork with the rest of the world. I will try to post at least once a day or three times a week, but I’m busy sometimes and so my blogging might be infrequent at times. I created a blog because I want to share my experiences. Maybe one day I will influence someone else to try and write about how they are feeling.

I believe that writing is a soothing activity that can be done at any time of the day. Sometimes, I just sit down and write. It’s a great way to express feelings and sort through the jumbled thoughts in one’s mind. I have participated in NaNoWriMo, which is National Novel Writing Month, twice now. Once in 2011, when I was a junior in high school, and once in 2013, when I was a first year in college. It is a non-profit organization where people all over the world try to write a (fictional) novel, which is considered 50,000 words, during the month of November. I was able to win and write over 50,000 words when I was a junior; but this past November, I sadly didn’t make it. I also love to write poems as you can probably tell because a majority of my writing pieces are.

I’m a freshman in college, or as we are now called “First Years,” because they think that the ‘man’ in freshman is sexist. I love to write and draw. I’m big into abstract art. My favorite piece of artwork is probably Starry Night by Vincent van Gogh. I also am a huge book lover. I’m able to go through a lot of books because of how fast I read. Whenever I am asked what my favorite book is, I always say Gone with the Wind, by Margaret Mitchell; but truthfully, I don’t have a favorite book. It’s too hard to pick a favorite. I love to watch movies, but I am extremely behind. I didn’t watch many movies when I was younger, so now I have a lot of catching up to do.

I’m really into music and I really don’t care what genre. My favorite band is Matchbox Twenty! I love them and I saw them in concert this past summer. It was a good concert and I would highly recommend to see them live. I love pop music like Imagine Dragons, Olly Murs, OneRepublic, The Script, Michael Bublé, Train, Ben Rector, Needtobreathe, and many more. I also love the band Incubus and I am a huge fan of a cappella. I love Pentatonix and Home Free! I absolutely love going to concerts because when you go with your friends, it can be a lot of fun, and you actually learn about new bands, if you don’t know the opening band. I’m also big into musicals like Evita and Mamma Mia.
