A Magnolia Tree in a Night Storm

Here is another poem that wrote for my class this past semester.

A Magnolia Tree in a Night Storm

When the wind howls
and several rain-covered bushes shake
near the wooden porch
and glisten with moonlight
that is bright and vast
and that lights up the yard,
a magnolia tree, with blossomed flowers,
large leaves, and the lovely fragrance
from the blossoms wafting
through the open air,
sways due to the wind
and stops the rain
from hitting the ground,
the sky rumbles as lightning flashes
in the sky, and the leaves
whipping the branches
on the tree.
